Rashi Kanojia, hailing from Agra, made her debut for the Indian women's cricket team in the third and final T20I against Bangladesh in Mirpur.

However, the left-arm spinner failed to take any wickets as India suffered a four-wicket defeat, failing to defend their target of 103 runs.

Playing as an assistant clerk in the Indian Railways in Mumbai, Kanojia bowled four overs, conceding 31 runs without any breakthroughs. Despite her debut not going as planned, India still secured a 2-1 series victory over Bangladesh. Kanojia was presented with her India cap by Deepti Sharma.

In the first T20I, India won by seven wickets, followed by an eight-run victory in the second match. These wins contributed to the series victory, making it a memorable moment for Kanojia. The 25-year-old spinner comes from a background with her father being a retired member of the Indian defense forces, while her mother is a teacher in an Army school. She has two elder brothers.

In the third T20I, India faced difficulties in scoring freely against the spinners of the home team, managing to post only 102/9 after opting to bat first. Bangladesh experienced a few hiccups during their chase, but opener Shamima Sultana's 42 off 46 deliveries helped them secure victory with 10 balls to spare.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian captain, top-scored with 40 runs off 41 balls, receiving support from Jemimah Rodrigues (28 off 26). However, a batting collapse in the death overs derailed India's progress, resulting in the loss of six wickets for just 11 runs. Key Indian batters Shafali Verma (11) and Smriti Mandhana (1) struggled to find their rhythm.

Bangladesh leg spinner Rabeya Khan stood out with an impressive performance, taking three wickets for 16 runs in her four overs.

The series may be over, but a three-match ODI series between India and Bangladesh is set to commence on July 16, providing another opportunity for both teams to compete on the field.
